Cursillo

Cursillo: A Help on Your Spiritual JourneyCursillo

Cursillo Weekends are scheduled for the spring and the fall at Camp Hardtner. Here Episcopalians focus on what is fundamental for being a Christian by learning the Cursillo method. This method entails the duties of all Christians to follow Christ, to come together week by week for corporate worship, to work, pray, and give for the spread of the kingdom of God. For more information on Cursillo click here. The next Cursillo (#141) Weekend is: October 21-24, 2010.

Kairos MinistryKairos is a Christian, lay-led, ecumenical, volunteer international prison ministry, in which men and women volunteers bring Christ's love and forgiveness to incarcerated individuals and to their families. Kairos Newsletter

Kairos OutsideKairos Outside is a pastoral ministry designed to support the relatives & friends of men and women who are or have been incarcerated in the country’s state or federal correctional facilities, as well as county jails and youthful offender programs. By providing a safe environment during a weekend with Christian people and opportunities to interact with other women in similar situations, support becomes a beacon of light in the dark world these women live in.

Samaritan Purse's Operation Christmas ChildSt. Timothy's gathers from 50 to 100 shoeboxes each year filled with gifts for the Samaritan Purse's Operation Christmas Child. For information about this outreach project, please call the Church office (318) 487-0875. It's now time to bring your shoeboxes to the church.

Cub Scouts

St. Timothy's is the meeting place for Cub Scout Pack 75. They meet every Tuesday at 6:30. www.scoutsonline.com/pack75

Other Outreach: St. Timothy's works on a variety of projects involving charitable organizations in the central Louisiana area, such as the Turning Point Women's Shelter, the Shepherd Center, the Manna House, Habitat for Humanity and the Louisiana Special Education Center. Individual members are involved in organizations such as CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) for children and Pets and People (where dogs and their owners visit nursing homes and hospitals.) We have a dedicated team in the prison ministry, Kairos. On a broader scope, St. Timothy's has been actively involved in the Samaritan's Purse Operation Christmas Child project and the Episcopal Churches' Honduras Mission work.
